TIMBER SEASONING
4.1Chemical Seasoning
Borax & boron treatments in
pressure impregnated plant
4.2 Kiln Seasoning
In this method, timber is subjected to hot air
in the airtight chamber. The hot air circulates in between the timber logs and
reduces the moisture content. The temperature inside the chamber is raised with
the help of heating coils. When the required temperature is obtained moisture
content and relative humidity gets reduced and timber gets seasoned. Even
though it is a cost to process it will give good results strength-wise.

FACTORY
WORK
Industrial
Manufacturing Process
5.1. S4S panning & sizing through 6 cutter
machine.
5.2. Sanding and smoothness through the white
belt sander.
5.3. Carvings/ moldings/ joints preparation at
site engineer supervision at the “hi-Tec” machine.

ERECTION
- TIMBER ROOF CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
The construction process of a timber roof with
a roof angle is 360
6.1 Shop drawings
Shop drawings will be used to identify the
information required for the general arrangement for installation of all timber
members and joints, nails and nuts & bolts.
6.2 Installation of rafters, Wallplate
[timber beam] and corbel plate
For roof section with roof angle 360, ,
75mm x200mm gonas rafters are fixing as per the shop drawing spacing
Dimensions. Rafters will be connected the timber wall plate using thread rod
with check nut.
150mm x 300mm corbel plate are installed by
approved chemical with thread rod and nut.
0.40 thick Zn/Al ceiling sheet will be
installed on top of the gonas rafters. First, we fixing 25X25mm L angle to the top of
the rafters. Secondary we are fixing Zn/Al Ceiling panel to L angle by the screw
nails.
Installation of 50mmx50mm battens at 600
c/c is installed in the perpendicular direction to the rafters.
07.
OTHER
ITEMS OF ROOF
7.1
Edge capping
0.47 Thick Zinc Aluminum sheet will be
installed the all gonas rafter edge.
7.2
Bird wire
Bird wire is a post and wire system that
installed the roof. Birds try to move in the roof but bird wire barrier it
08.
QUALITY
CONTROL PLAN / INSPECTION
For the purpose of quality control, the
inspection and testing procedures will be used at the site to keep the records
and to maintain the quality of the construction work at the site. In which all the
criteria will be addressed and checked so that the construction work will have
the same quality throughout the project. Contractors Engineer carried out the
inspection and make the final approval to proceed with the work.
8.1 Testing the random samples for certification the
requirement.
8.2 Random sample should be checked at a third party
lab and confirm the request.
8.3 Once cut any timber should be
sealed for with proprietary pre-sealant immediately after the drying process to the
correct moisture content, and before factory breakout and machining.
09.
SAFETY
AND RISK ASSESSMENT
9.1. Wear appropriate safety accessories
(Helmets, Gloves, and Jackets)
9.2. Display safety signs around the worksite.
9.3. Safety/ risk assessment records shall
be kept by the safety officer at the site.
