5.0 RESOURCES AND ORGANIZATION CHART
6.0 SHORING PROCESS
A. Excavation
JCB is used to excavate earth and Laborers can get the excavated area shaped as specified, using shovels and pick axe.
B. Dewatering
Ground water can flow into the excavation area and collected water is pumped out using submersible pump.
C. Shoring procedure
This is to be done manually with a simple boring tool which is kept on the ground. The tool is rotated by two workers as shown in the figures and the soil is taken out from the pit by using the same tool. Once it is reaches to the water table, a 250mm Φ PVC Pipe is inserted to the pit as a temporary casing and boring is continued up to a depth of 6m from the ground level and the ‘H’ girder will be placed using backhoe. The bottom area of H iron will be concreted (if necessary) and then PVC pipe will be taken up slowly
Similar procedure shall be carried out right round the boundary of the shoring with 900mm-1200mm spacing to drive the H irons vertically.
Thereafter excavation will be commenced along the H girder line and in parallel to that, 2” thick timber plank or MS plate also inserted manually.
Lateral supports (1st and 2nd bracing) will be provide by using the I beam as shown in the attached drawing in the annex.

7.0 QUALITY CONTROL AND INSPECTION
For the purpose of quality controlling, the inspection and testing procedures will be used at the site to keep the records and to maintain the quality of the construction work at site. In which all the criteria’s will be addressed and checked, so that the construction work will have the same quality throughout the project.
Once the Contractors’ Engineer and the QA/QC Engineer carried out the inspection, Consultant’s representative will carry out his inspection along with the Contractors’ QA/QC Engineer and make the final approval to precede the work.
Frequent inspection and monitoring will also be done to execute a safe work.
8.0 SAFETY PLAN
· All the dangerous areas must be barricaded
· Safe flat forms for working at higher levels shall be provided.
· Safety Guard rails shall be provided at the perimeter run.
· All the electrical wires and sockets such a way that must be covered to safety regulation
· Water pumps must be ready at any time for immediate use.
· First aid facilities and vehicles for emergency cases shall be available at site
